5 Shoplifters Busted At Beachwood Place Mall

BEACHWOOD, OH — Beachwood Police arrested five shoplifters over the weekend, all at Beachwood Place Mall. The shoplifters seemed primarily to target Dillard's, but also snatched cell phones from the Microsoft Store and grabbed merchandise from Pink.

Towed Automobile, March 9 — Police had a car towed away from Chagrin Plaza West. The vehicle appeared to be abandoned, according to police reports.

Shoplifting, March 9 — A juvenile was arrested for stealing $105 of merchandise from Dillard's at Beachwood Place Mall.

Shoplifting, March 9 — Two cell phones were stolen from the Microsoft Store at Beachwood Place Mall. An employee reported the theft, but said they did not know who snatched the phones.

Possession of Marijuana, March 10 — Police stopped a woman for running a red light near Richmond and Cedar roads. Officers found marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia in her car. The woman was cited for running the light and possession of marijuana.

Warrant Served, March 10 — Mayfield Heights Police arrested a man wanted in Beachwood. They transferred custody of the man over to Beachwood Police.

Expired License Plates, March 10 — Police stopped a car on Richmond Road, near Chagrin Boulevard. The vehicle had expired license plates. The driver was issued a citation and the car was towed.

Warrant Served, March 10 — A car was stopped on Chagrin Boulevard. The driver had an expired license and multiple warrants for his arrest. Police took the man into custody without incident and his car was towed.

Shoplifting, March 10 — A woman was arrested for shoplifting $42 of merchandise from the Pink store at Beachwood Place Mall.

Shoplifting, March 10 — Police arrested a juvenile for stealing three shirts from Dillard's on Saturday. The total value of the stolen merchandise was $148.

Shoplifting, March 10 — Police also arrested an adult man for shoplifting $89.50 of merchandise from Dillard's on Saturday. One of the man's friends was wanted on a warrant and arrested. One of the men also had marijuana in their possession.
