Armed Man Tries To Steal Beachwood Woman's Car

BEACHWOOD, OH — A woman was nearly robbed on Saturday while in the driveway of her E. Silsby Road home. Police have released few details on the incident because an investigation is ongoing.

According to police records, a man ran up on the woman in her car and tried to force her out of the vehicle at gunpoint. However, before the woman could get out of the car, the man took off.

The woman was fine and the vehicle was not stolen. It is not clear why the man left without the vehicle or where he took off to after fleeing the scene.

A Beachwood Police officer said additional details on the incident would not be released until the investigation was complete.

Silsby Road is a side street off of Cedar Road, not far from Legacy Village.
