BEACHWOOD, OH — Originally scheduled to close on weekdays starting Aug. 16, the Beachwood Family Aquatic Center will now remain open on Thursdays and Fridays through Labor Day Weekend. The city announced the revised schedule on Facebook, saying it had secured additional staffing coverage to ensure the swimming facility would stay open. However, some of the Aquatic Center's various features may not be operational during the new, abridged "end-of-season" hours. On Thursdays and Fridays, lap only swimming will be held from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Regular swim will then be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays will see lap only swimming from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Regular swim will then be held from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. (To stay up to date on local stories, <a href="https://patch.com/ohio/beachwood/subscribe" target="_blank" rel="noopener">subscribe to the Patch Beachwood newsletter</a>.
