Beachwood Car Accident Leads to Drug Arrest for Intoxicated Driver

Police found marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and open containers of alcohol in the driver's car. That and other incident in this blotter.

BEACHWOOD, OH - Police arrested two drivers for possession of marijuana over the weekend. Both drivers were caught due to their reckless behavior on the roadway. One caused an accident, the other made an illegal U-turn.

Disturbance, Jan. 6 - The Vue, 23020 Chagrin Boulevard, played host to a fight in its parking lot. When police arrived, the two men involved admitted to brawling, but were not injured. Both men were given a warning for disorderly conduct.

Non-Criminal Damage, Jan. 6 - A window at a Rainbow Office Building, 23880 Commerce Park, was broken. After a short investigation, police determined that the window was broken unintentionally by a snow plow contractor.

Civil Matter, Jan. 6 - Two warring parents chose a bad place to have a dispute over child custody. The duo got into an argument in the parking lot of Beachwood Police Station, 2700 Richmond Road.

Possession of Marijuana, Jan. 6 - Two cars were involved in an accident on Chagrin Boulevard. One of the drivers involved was found to be intoxicated. When officers searched the driver's car, they found marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and open containers of alcohol.

Suspicious Phone Calls, Jan. 7 - An employee at Nordstrom's, 26200 Cedar Rd., reported receiving several suspicious phone calls.

Suspicion, Jan. 7 - A Canadian reported that their credit card was being used at Saks Fifth Avenue, 26100 Cedar Rd. The Canuck reported that that their card was being used to purchase a Chanel purse, worth $5,215. The purse was to be shipped to Miami, Florida. The purchase was halted and no purse was shippd.

Lost Property, Jan. 7 - A set of keys were possibly stolen from a car in the parking lot of Devore Technologies, 23420 Chagrin Blvd. An employee's husband left the keys in the car while he ran some items up to the office.

Possession of Marijuana, Jan. 8 - Police stopped a car on Chagrin Boulevard for an illegal U-turn. The driver had marijuana and drug paraphernalia in his car. The driver was cited and released at the scene.
