Beachwood Cop Bruised When Suspects Resist Arrest
An adult and juvenile were arrested for forgery at Beachwood Place Mall. They resisted when officers tried to arrest them.

BEACHWOOD, OH — A Beachwood detective had bruises on his face thanks to a suspect resisting arrest. An adult and juvenile were arrested for forgery, which they used to obtain clothing items from stores at the mall. When confronted, one or both of the suspects resisted arrest. While some bruises were sustained, the suspects were arrested.

License Suspension, Feb. 12 — Police stopped a car on Richmond Road. The vehicle had illegally tinted windows and the driver had a suspended license. The driver also had an active warrant for his arrest from Highland Heights Police. The driver was taken into police custody.

Shoplifting, Feb. 13 — Three people were arrested for shoplifting from the Dillard's at Beachwood Place Mall. Two of the people arrested were juveniles, the third was an adult. Police recovered $493 of merchandise from the trio.
Threatening Phone Calls, Feb. 14 — Someone called the offices of Stratos Wealth Partners 25 times and threatened employees at the office. All of the calls were made over a four hour period on Valentine's Day, according to police records.

Theft from Building, Feb. 14 — A cell phone was stolen from inside a locker at Lifetime Fitness. Police said there are no suspects or leads in the case.
Forgery, Feb. 14 — A man and juvenile were arrested at Beachwood Place Mall for forgery. They resisted arrested bruising a police officer's face. Police also found marijuana in the pair's vehicle.
OVI, Feb. 15 — Police stopped a car on Chagrin Boulevard and the driver was arrested for operating a vehicle intoxicated.
Shoplifting, Feb. 15 — A woman was arrested for shoplifting $258 of merchandise. The woman was also found in possession of drug abuse instruments.
