In the blink of an eye, Revere scored two goals in a little over two minutes and never looked back as they defeated the Beachwood girls' lacrosse team 12-6 during senior night Thursday.
“We played a very tough team,” Beachwood head coach Jen Tramer said. “We’re always looking to improve our team defense and we’ve been improving over the season.”
Eva Muschkin* scored the second goal for Beachwood with nine minutes left in the half, cutting the deficit to 4-2. However, Revere answered within the minute with a goal from Elizabeth Post. Katie Sternasty tallied on another goal just before halftime, pushing the lead to 6-2.

“The girls know the playoffs are coming up and we’re working hard on getting ready,” Revere assistant coach Christine Michaels said. Head coach Fawn Stevens did not travel with the team.
Beachwood and Revere traded off goals for the first seven minutes of the second half. Nursing an 8-4 lead, Revere put the game away over the next nine minutes with four goals, two coming from Alexis Pointinger, who finished with six goals on the day.

Muschkin* led the Lady Bison with three goals followed by Lindsay Silver with two. Monica Arkin also added a score of her own.
“We’ll have to play teams similar to Revere [in the tournament] so we’ll continue to work hard and improve,” Tramer said.
Despite the loss, senior day continued and the 11 Lady Bison seniors were honored on the field with their parents before the junior varsity. Losing so many seniors would affect any program, especially one still growing.
“This is a great group of seniors,” Tramer said. “They’ve been playing for two or three years. We’ll certainly miss them; it will have a big impact on us.”
The Lady Bison remain home on Saturday with a 3 p.m. game against Cardinal and a game against Brunswick immediately following. Check highsschoolsports.net for any changes in the schedule.
