Beachwood Giving Away 10,000 Masks To Residents

City officials are distributing 10,000 cloth face masks to residents.

BEACHWOOD, OH — The city of Beachwood is distributing 10,000 cloth face masks to residents. The masks are free for anyone who lives in Beachwood.

“We want our residents to stay healthy and wear face masks to promote the continued health of our city,” said Beachwood Mayor Martin Horwitz. “These masks can be washed and worn multiple times, so they are also healthier for our environment.”

Beachwood residents can collect a mask in the parking lot of Beachwood City Hall, 25325 Fairmount Boulevard on the following days:

  • Sunday June 7 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Monday, June 8 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Tuesday, June 9 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Mask distribution will follow a contactless protocol. Signs will be posted to explain the process.

Beachwood residents will need to show their license, or a utility bill dated within the past 45 days, through their closed car window. After residency has been confirmed, drivers should pop their trunk or roll down a back window to receive a mask.

“If you’re outside in Beachwood, running errands, or visiting someone who isn’t part of your quarantine household, please: wear a mask,” Horwitz said.
