Beachwood High School Offering PSAT Test on Oct. 19

The cost for the PSAT is $15.00 and is payable by check (made out to Beachwood City Schools and brought to the main office) or online.

BEACHWOOD, OH - On Wednesday, October 19, at 7:50 a.m., Beachwood High School will administer the PSAT/NMSQT®, to all 10th and 11th grade students. The cost for the PSAT is $15.00 and is payable by check (made out to Beachwood City Schools and brought to the main office) or online in the Beachwood High School webstore.

Students must arrive on-time , as late students will not be permitted to take the test, in accordance with College Board policy. Testing will take place in designated classrooms, rosters will be posted throughout BHS a week before testing.

The school says that results from the PSAT will be used for all students to help determine appropriate placement into Honors and AP courses, and to determine which college admissions test is the most appropriate for a student, either the SAT or the ACT.

The school also notes that there will be a late start for 9th and 12th grade students beginning at 11:30 a.m. The district has arranged for a second bus to run four hours later than the normal pickup. For example, if a child is usually picked up at 7:00 am at the bus stop, he/she will be picked up at 11:00 a.m. on this day.

There will be an abbreviated block schedule on Wednesday, 10/19 as follows:
  • Lunch: 11:30 am -12:00 pm
  • 4/5 class: 11:30 am - 12:16 pm
  • Lunch: 12:16-12:46 pm
  • 5/6 class: 12:00-12:46 pm
  • 2 class: 12:51-1:37 pm
  • 9 class: 1:42-2:30 pm

Thursday block will remain the same.
