Beachwood Mall Shooting: Second Shooting Was Accidental
Little was known about the second shooting incident at the mall. Until now.

BEACHWOOD, OH — There were two shooting incidents on St. Patrick's Day at Beachwood Place Mall. While arrests related to the first shooting were made quickly, less information was available on the second shooting, until now.
Police have now said the second shooting at Beachwood Place Mall was accidental. Officers have thoroughly investigated the incident and determined it was not, in any way, connected to the shooting in the parking lot near Saks Fifth Avenue.
The second shooting incident took place at about 6 p.m. A man's gun accidentally fired while he was walking into the mall. The man then ran off.

Police said they have since identified the man and arrested him. He was taken into custody on Wednesday, on Wilson Mills Road near I-271. Officers found a handgun in the man's possession.
The man will be charged with inducing panic and additional charges may be added.
