Beachwood Mulls Trash Service For Elderly Residents

Before the city moves to the stage of gauging the cost of the program, officials want to make sure there's sufficient interest.

BEACHWOOD, OH — The city may add a trash collection assistance service for residents 80 or older. However, before the city can move ahead with investigating the program, it needs to gauge interest from residents.

Residents that are 80 or older, or disabled, and have no else in their single family home that can help them, are asked to contact city officials and let them know if a trash collection assistance program would be of benefit.

The deadline for providing feedback on the program is Oct. 14. (To stay up to date on local stories, subscribe to the Patch Beachwood newsletter. As news breaks and the story develops, you will be the first to receive updates from Patch.)
