Beachwood Named 2nd Best Suburb By Cleveland Magazine

The annual ranking of Greater Cleveland suburbs saw Beachwood claim the top spot for Cuyahoga County suburbs.

BEACHWOOD, OH — Beachwood is the best suburb to live in if you reside in Cuyahoga County, according to a new ranking from Cleveland Magazine. The publication annually ranks the best suburbs in Greater Cleveland and Beachwood claimed the top spot in Cuyahoga County. Richfield was named the overall best suburb to live in.

“Beachwood has long had a well-earned reputation as one of the best places in Northeast Ohio to live and work. We are very honored to be recognized by Cleveland Magazine as one of the best communities,” said Beachwood Mayor Merle S. Gorden in a statement. “I also want to thank our city employees for their hard work in making Beachwood a successful and vibrant community.”

Last year, Beachwood was ranked the ninth best suburb in Greater Cleveland. This year, the city moved up to number two overall and number one in Cuyahoga County.

“Beachwood’s neighborhoods are safe and well-kept, schools are consistently rated excellent and housing values are among the highest in the County with a business base that keeps taxes low,” Gorden said. “Our residents have superb city services and some of the best shopping and dining in the region. But mostly, I think it’s our residents that truly make our city stand out.”
