  • Monday — Thursday | 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Friday & Saturday | 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Sunday | Closed

The first hour of each day, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., for high-risk, vulnerable customers.

"The Library is taking many steps to create the safest possible environment. First, we will be limiting the number of people allowed in the building to approximately 25% of typical capacity. Second, we are modifying our furniture layout and signage to promote physical distancing. Computer stations will be spaced out to maintain distance between customers," the county system said in a statement.

Cleaning protocols will be increased, with staff instructed to wipe down high-touch surface areas. Toys and other interactive activities will not be available in children's areas. Meeting rooms will remain closed.

Returned materials will be quarantined for 72 hours. Materials can only be returned through the outdoor book drop, or in designated bins in each branch. Book donations will not be accepted during this time.

Customers who will require help from a staffer are required to wear a mask. Libraries will provide a mask, if one is needed. In-person programs will not resume. The library system said it has not set a date for the return of in-person programs.

However, online programs will continue. Many "meet the author" events have transitioned to online forums.

"Our summer lunch program at eligible branches will resume on July 6, but it will be “grab and go” bagged lunches. Students may not congregate once they receive their lunch. We also plan to offer limited technology training and workforce development programs starting in July to groups of fewer than 10. More details to come," the Cuyahoga County Public Libraries said in a statement.
