Beachwood Schedules Trick-or-Treating For Oct. 31
City-sponsored trick-or-treating will be held on Halloween.
BEACHWOOD, OH — Beachwood will host trick-or-treating on Halloween evening, the city announced.
The event will be held Oct. 31 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
City officials said the health and safety of residents is the top priority for this year's Halloween. To keep everyone safe, the city has issued guidelines for all trick-or-treating participants.

All trick-or-treaters and chaperones must:
- Wear COVID-19 appropriate masks (masks are required for all participants 2 and older)
- Carry and frequently apply hand sanitizer
- Only trick-or-treat at houses with the porch light on
- Only trick-or-treat with members of your own household (stay within your bubble!)
- Follow social distancing regulations
Houses handing out candy must:

- Hand out treats individually, do not use a group candy bowl
- Place candy in a child's bag, not into their hands
- Wear gloves while distributing candy
- Only one member of a household should handle treats
- Consider using creative ways to hand out treats, like a candy slide made of PVC pipe or hanging treats from a fence or decorated board
- Mark waiting spaces (6-feet apart) on the walkway to the front door to promote social distancing
Anyone who does not wish to participate in trick-or-treating this year should leave their porch lights off.
