Beachwood Schools Hosting Screening of 'Selma'

Following each movie there will be a panel discussion featuring various experts.

BEACHWOOD, OH - The Beachwood High School MAC Scholars is hosting a series of movie nights that are meant to inspire social change. The screenings are open to the public and students are encouraged to bring their families to the events. The movies are free but donations are encouraged.

Following each movie there will be a panel discussion, featuring leaders representing a variety of ages, religions, ethnicities and races, to explore how everyone can learn from the past and impact the future.

The multicultural panel will include:

  • James Hardiman, ACLU
  • Danielle Harris, City Club Youth Forum Council Chairperson
  • Rev. Courtney Jenkins, Pastor of South Euclid United Church of Christ
  • Peter Lawson Jones, former Cuyahoga County Commissioner
  • Diane Phillips Leatherberry, march participant and civil rights activist
  • Casey Matthews, BHS English Teacher
  • Kameron Willis, Shaker Hts. High School MAC Scholars
