Someone fired a ball bearing at an office window at the Green Road Synagogue. Police suspect the item was shot from a slingshot.

BEACHWOOD, OH — Police are investigating vandalism at the Green Road Synagogue. A ball bearing appears to have been shot at an office window at the building, breaking the window. Read on for more information on that incident and others from the week.

Juvenile Complaint, July 17 — A 13-year-old girl stormed out of her house on Monday after her mother took her cell phone away. Her mother contacted police when the girl did not immediately return. The girl came back to the house a little while later.

Criminal Damaging, July 17 — Someone fired a ball bearing through a window at the Green Road Synagogue, 2437 Green Rd. An employee found the hole in an office window and discovered the ball bearing in the bushes outside the synagogue. Police say the ball bearing was likely fired from a slingshot.
Annoying Phone Calls, July 17 — An employee at Beachwood Dental has been the victim of some harassing phone calls. The employee told police that a man has called the office twice and told the employee he heard her voice on the radio and wants to take her on a date.

Attempted Burglary, July 18 — A resident on Belvoir Road had one of their windows broken out in an attempted burglary incident.
Annoying Phone Calls, July 18 — A resident reported that she has been receiving unwanted phone calls from the father of her girlfriend's child.
Abandoned Vehicle, July 19 — Embassy Suites, 3775 Park East, had an abandoned vehicle towed from its lot.
Marijuana Possession, July 19 — A caller reported a driver aggressively tailgating another vehicle. Police located the suspected tailgater and stopped the car. The driver was in possession of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia and was cited for following too closely, driving with a suspended license, traffic altercation, and possession of marijuana.
Annoying Phone Calls, July 19 — A former employee of Medical Mutual, 23700 Commerce Park, has been calling the office and harassing staff.
Theft from Building, July 20 — The cellphone of a Lifetime Fitness employee was stolen while the employee was lifeguarding.
