Beachwood's Eaton Corporation Aurora Plant to Close in 2017
The corporation announced that it would be shutting down the plant, which employs 150 people, early next year.

The Eaton Corporation, whose North American headquarters are located in Beachwood, announced Tuesday that it will close its Aurora hydraulics plant by February 2017 according to Cleveland.com.
The plant employs 150 people, who received 60 days notice in order to prepare for the coming layoffs. The closure is part of a $400 million three-year restructuring, as reported by Cleveland.com.
The closing plant currently makes thermoplastic hoses and tubing used in industries such as beverage, vehicle, hydraulics, industrial and oil and gas. The closure is a result of the decline in markets served by the facility, as well as the global hydraulics business on a whole, Cleveland.com reported.
