Red the Steakhouse is the brain child of Brad Friedlander, who hired Jonathan Bennett and Peter Vauthy as executive chefs. The elegant brick, wood, stone and stainless interior sets the stage for both business and pleasure.
The menu consists of seven parts ranging from appetizers to sides. Steak and tuna tatare are featured, but seafood and even hot stuffed peppers are listed ($8-15). Should your tastes run toward a larger portion of seafood there is frutti de mare, a plus-sized king lobster ($79). Red house salad includes red raspberry vinaigrette and goat cheese ($8.50).

Steaks and chops take center stage with aged certified angus beef and aged USDA prime ($22-40). Fresh seafood is mostly at market price, but you can count on having a good option. The sides are there to complement any main flavor. Potatoes, asparagus, spinach and sweet onion are all prepared with a unique twist.
Beer, mixed drinks, specialty martinis and an extensive wine list round out your dining experience. Reservations are recommended in this dressy, yet casual Beachwood gem.
