Broken Down Car Gets Driver Arrested In Beachwood

Police were investigating the car when the driver came back. Turns out he had a warrant for his arrest. Oops.

BEACHWOOD, OH — A broken down car was seen on the side of Richmond Road. Police investigated the vehicle and when the driver eventually returned he spoke with officers. After an investigation it was determined the man had an active warrant for his arrest with Woodmere Police. The man was arrested.

Larceny, June 29 — A cell phone was stolen from a customer shopping at the Beachwood Place Mall.

Solicitor, June 29 — Police cited a woman for soliciting contributions on Richmond Road.

Possession of Marijuana, June 29 — Two men were cited for smoking weed in the northern parking lot of Beachwood Place Mall.

Found Property, June 29 — A set of car keys were found at the Beachwood Family Aquatic Center. The keys were turned over to police for safe keeping.

Suspicion, June 30 — Someone may have hacked a Hilltop Drive resident's computer, according to police reports.

Warrant Served, June 30 — Police were called to Richmond Road, near South Woodland Road, for reports of a disturbance. One of the women involved in the disturbance had an active warrant for her arrest and was taken into custody.

Wrongful Entrustment, June 30 — Police stopped a car on Park East. The driver had a suspended license. They were released after posting bond. The owner of the car was cited for wrongful entrustment.

Shoplifting, June 30 — A man was arrested for stealing $45 of merchandise from Dillard's.
