Caller Reports Suspicious Car, Marijuana Bust Made

Beachwood cops found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in a car outside Michael's.

BEACHWOOD, OH — Police had a busy week. Officers got involved in a custody dispute, busted a driver for possession of marijuana and dealt with a variety of other incidents.

Suspicion, Oct. 16 — A woman reported to Beachwood Police that someone is impersonating her on social media.

Marijuana Possession, Oct. 16 — Police were called to Michael's, 24081 Chagrin Blvd., for reports of a suspicious vehicle. After investigating, a man was cited and released for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Theft from Auto, Oct. 17 — A resident's computer bag, with work documents, financial documents, a beard trimmer and wallet, was taken from his car. The car was left unlocked and parked in the resident's driveway on Bryden Road.

Interference with Custody, Oct. 17 — A woman's child was picked up from daycare by his father, despite the father having no custody rights of the child. The child was located at the father's home in East Cleveland and returned to his mother. The woman declined to sign criminal charges against the father.

Theft from Building, Oct. 17 — A woman was arrested for stealing from Big Lots, 24295 Chagrin Blvd. The woman stole $318 of merchandise.

Theft from Building, Oct. 17 — Someone stole a Stratford Ct. resident's credit card, from his home, and made $22,000 in fraudulent charges.

Threatening Phone Calls, Oct. 17 — A resident's ex-husband made threatening statements to her during a call.

Theft from Building, Oct. 18 — A resident at Montefiore reported $300 was stolen from his room.

Suspicion, Oct. 18 — Two clients on the Beachwood Adult Wellness Center bus had an incident. The driver reported the matter to police, but not many details have been released.

Rescue Squad, Oct. 19 — A man was electrocuted and fell from a height at the Canterbury Golf Club. The man was taken to a medical facility.

Disturbance, Oct. 19 — An employee of United Insurance Company caused a verbal disturbance and police were called.

Shoplifting, Oct. 19 — Two people were arrested for shoplifting $580 of merchandise from Dillard's, 26500 Cedar Rd.
