Free Honkin' Haulin' event will be rescheduled; 9/11 memorial will still be open

Honkin' Haulin' Hands-On Trucks has been cancelled. A city spokespersaon said that the city would reschedule it for a later date.

The 9/11 memorial will still be open.

Sunday will be a day to honor first responders in Beachwood.

On the 10th anniversary of 9/11, the city will open the lobby of at Richmond Road and Fairmount Boulevard for visitors to see — and, at the same time, let kids see first-hand the driver’s seat of the city’s fire trucks and ambulance.

From 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, the will host its at the and open the 9/11 memorial.

The event will allow kids (and the kid in you) to get up close and personal with Beachwood’s fire engines, ambulance, rubbish truck, dump truck and more.

The event is free and includes a “key” to the trucks and a photo “driver’s license” for the kids.

The Beachwood Historical Society will also during Honkin' Haulin'.
