City Council Approves Contracts for Services

Beachwood City Council approved contracts for city services at Monday's meeting.

The contracts include legal services from Ice Miller LLP, engineering and infrastructure from GPD/ACLA, city planning from Oxbow Engineering, and publishing from the Beachwood Buzz.

The contract costs are as follows:

Beachwood Buzz: $4,425 per month plus $679 additional if a sixth page is necessary.

Ice Miller LLP: $222,480 for retainer, plus expenses.

Oxbow Engineering: Hourly rates of $45 to $100.

GPD Group: Hourly rates of $48 to $109.

Council also approved the following measures:

• A contract with Excalibur Auto Body for body work and refinishing for $50,000.
• A contract with Newbury Sandblasting and Painting for vehicle sandblasting and painting for $50,00.
• The initiation of bidding for Ready Mix Concrete for 2012.
• A quote from Winter Equipment Company, Inc., for curb guards and snowplow cutting edges for just over $30,000.
