Cleveland Clinic Opens Rehabilitation Hospital In Beachwood

BEACHWOOD, OH — A new, 60-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital is coming to Beachwood as part of a partnership between the Cleveland Clinic and Select Medical Corporation. The facility, called the Cleveland Clinic Rehabilitation Hospital, will feature private beds and state-of-the-art equipment.

The Beachwood facility will be the third in-patient rehabilitation facility in Northeast Ohio opened by the Cleveland Clinic. The first facility was opened in Avon in 2015.

“The demand for rehabilitation is rising across Northeast Ohio and this beautiful new facility will allow patients to access state-of-the-art treatment,” said Dr. Fredrick Frost, chair of Cleveland Clinic’s Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in a statement. “In the first two years, Cleveland Clinic Rehabilitation Hospital, Avon has consistently beaten the national benchmarks for quality and outcomes." Beachwood's Cleveland Clinic Rehabilitation Hospital opened Oct. 10. The facility will treat patients impacted by stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, amputation, neurological disorders and orthopedic conditions.

The Beachwood facility is the second in three hospitals set to open under the collaboration between the Cleveland Clinic and Select Medical. The first hospital was in Avon, the second in Beachwood and a third is slated to open in Bath.
