Cleveland Jewish Federation Raises $33 Million

The Jewish Federation of Cleveland's annual fundraising campaign received donations from more than 13,000 people.

BEACHWOOD, OH — The Jewish Federation of Cleveland raised more than $33 million during its 2020 Campaign for Jewish Needs. More than 13,000 people donated during this year's campaign.

The fundraising haul was announced at the Campaign Closing Celebration on Wednesday at the Fuchs Mizrachi School.

“What our community has accomplished in the 2020 Campaign is an accomplishment that Jewish Cleveland can be proud of,” said J. David Heller, Federation board chair. “On behalf of our board of trustees and our community, I sincerely thank outgoing Campaign Chair Jeff Wild for the impact he’s made over the past two years. Jeff’s leadership is impressive, and I look forward to working with Jeff in the future. We look forward to building upon Jeff’s tremendous success under Bradley’s leadership.”

During the event, Bradley Sherman was named the chair for the 2021 and 2022 Campaigns for Jewish Needs. He succeeds Jeff Wild in the role.

In the volunteer position, Sherman will lead the federation's annual fundraising efforts. Sherman is the principal and co-founder of Sherman Boseman Legal Group, where he focuses his practice on litigation and complex negotiations in a wide variety of labor and employment and commercial areas.

Bradley Sherman is the next chair of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland's fundraising campaigns.

Sherman has been involved in Cleveland's Jewish community for several years. He is currently the chair of the federation's Strategic Planning Committee, past president of the Cleveland Hillel Foundation and has taken part in the Cleveland Bridge Builders and Leadership Cleveland.

“I am honored to serve our community in this capacity for the next two years,” Sherman said. “I have been personally impacted by the work of the federation and have experienced first-hand the tremendous work the Federation and our beneficiary agencies do daily to help Jews in Cleveland and around the world. Working alongside federation’s leadership team and a dedicated network of volunteers, I’m confident we will continue to make life in Jewish Cleveland better today and even stronger in the future!”
