The 2020 Cleveland Jewish News 18 Difference Makers will be honored in a virtual ceremony at 6 p.m. Dec. 6 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The sixth annual awards celebration will be available on Zoom. Registration to the pre-recorded event is free but required to gain access to the ceremony.

This is traditionally a ticketed event. The criteria for Difference Makers were as follows: They must be at least 18 years old by July 31, 2020, and have ties to Northeast Ohio; they should be making a difference in Northeast Ohio’s Jewish community by being active through a nonprofit organization, volunteer group or professional endeavor; and they must demonstrate the “mensch-like” characteristics of honor and integrity. Difference Makers do not have to be Jewish, but their efforts must help better the Northeast Ohio Jewish community.
