Construction Projects Hitting Beachwood

Late July and early August could see some commuters bogged down in roadwork and traffic congestion.

BEACHWOOD, OH — Several construction projects will be impacting main drags and side streets throughout the city. Many of the projects will begin in the last week of July and stretch into August.

Starting July 31, Harvard Road, from Richmond Road to South Green, will be under reconstruction. The city said on its website that Perk Construction will handle the project in two phases. The first phase will begin July 31. All road access will be maintained, but expect delays.

Also on July 31, Buckhurst Drive, Cedarview Drive and Greenwich Lane will all undergo construction work. Road access will also be maintained on those streets, but drivers should expect delays on those roads. (To stay up to date on local stories, subscribe to the Patch Beachwood newsletter. Work on Fairmount Boulevard and Hendon will continue through Aug. 18, courtesy of Dominion Gas, which will be replacing the gas mains on those roads. That project began on May 15 and is expected to be completed in mid-August.
