Council to Revisit New Apartment Tonight

City Council will reconsider ordinances to allow an apartment complex to be built in Commerce Park at tonight’s meeting.

Council that would change the zoning of the parcel to one that would allow the apartments.

Two ordinances — one to create a zoning district for planned multi-family development and one to change this parcel to that zoning — were put before council to refer to the Planning and Zoning Commission.

Councilman Brian Linick asked for more time to study the legislation before voting on whether to refer it to P&Z.

Council referred the ordinances to tonight’s meeting, when council could vote to refer the legislation to P&Z.

After P&Z’s review and if the commission recommends it to council, council members will read it twice more and hold a public hearing, then take a final vote.
