Disturbance At Beachwood Hotel Leads To Arrests

Guests were arrested for carrying concealed weapons without a permit, possession of marijuana, and on outstanding warrants.

BEACHWOOD, OH — Police had a busy past week. They broke up a disturbance at the Double Tree Hotel, stopped a bevy of shoplifters, dealt with vicious dogs, and more. Read on for more information on all the incidents from this past week.

License Suspension, May 22 - Police stopped a car for driving with expired license plates on Richmond Road. The driver had multiple license suspensions and was arrested.

Shoplifting, May 22 - A juvenile was arrested for shoplifting from Dillard's, 26500 Cedar Rd. Officers also found marijuana on the juvenile.

Shoplifting, May 22 - An adult male was arrested for shoplifting from Dillard's.

Shoplifting, May 22 - Someone stole merchandise from Big Lots, 24295 Chagrin Blvd.

Marijuana Possession, May 22 - Officers were called to the Double Tree Hotel, 3663 Park East, for reports of a noise complaint. When officers went to the room, they found one guest was a man with a concealed weapon and no CCW permit; another man had an active traffic warrant through Euclid, and marijuana was found in the room.

Dangerous and Vicious Dogs, May 22 - Two dogs attacked a man while he was walking through Beachwood.

License Suspension, May 23 - A three car accident on Richmond Road brought police to the scene. The driver who caused the accident had a suspended license and was arrested.

Theft from Building, May 23 - A man at the Montefiore Home, 27080 Cedar Rd., reported that $20 and a key was stolen from his wallet in his room.

Shoplifting, May 23 - An adult woman was arrested for shoplifting $174.95 worth of merchandise from Dillard's. The woman was given a medical furlough so she could receive treatment from a local hospital. The woman did not return after the treatment and an additional charge of escape will be added to her warrant.

Marijuana Possession, May 24 - Police stopped a car on I-271 and found marijuana in the car. The passenger in the vehicle was cited for possession.

Menacing by Stalking, May 24 - Two people got into a disruptive verbal argument in the parking lot of Beachwood Place Mall. Police took a report on the scene but the offended party did not wish to pursue charges.

Shoplifting, May 24 - A juvenile female was arrested for shoplifting from the Pink store at Beachwood Place Mall. The girl tried to steal $32.95 worth of merchandise from the store.

Identity Theft, May 24 - Two men were stopped for attempting to pass a fraudulent check. The men were also in possession of stolen credit cards.
