Whole Foods Market knows the importance of parmesan--they hand crack every wheel of parmesan they sell. Each wheel, handcrafted in Italy, weighs 90 pounds and requires a unique, skilled process to carefully cut and chunk pieces of parmesan for sale.
This event features Jason, the Specialty Team Leader and Cheese Expert. Jason will tell you about the history of parmesan cheese, the process for making handcrafted parm, and then he will show you how he cracks an entire wheel of parmesan. You will then be able to sample.
