Fatal Shooting In Cleveland Kills Lyndhurst Man
The suspects pulled open the man's car door and shot him in the head and chest, Cleveland Police said.

CLEVELAND — A fatal shooting in Cleveland killed a 23-year-old Lyndhurst man, Cleveland Police announced Wednesday morning. The suspects pulled the man's car door open and shot him in the chest and head. A second person was in the car and was also shot.
Martez Thomas, 23, was rushed to University Hospitals Medical Center after the shooting, but was declared dead at the hospital. He was found on E. 121st Street, the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office said.
Initial investigation into Thomas' death revealed that both shooting victims were sitting in a car on E. 121st, at about 7 p.m., when another car pulled up. The suspects walked up to Thomas' vehicle and opened the doors. At some point, the suspects started firing.

Thomas was shot in the head and chest. The other person in the car was shot in the head and is currently hospitalized.
The suspects got back in their car and sped off, police said. Investigators learned that a vehicle matching the description of the suspect's car was seen dropping someone off at South Pointe Hospital, in Warrensville Heights. That person was identified, taken to MetroHealth, and charged with aggravated murder and felonious assault.
