Greenways Public Meeting To Be Held In Beachwood

The county wants to build an interconnected system of trails that link neighborhoods, parks and public transportation.

BEACHWOOD, OH — The Cuyahoga Greenways project is hosting a public meeting in Beachwood on Jan. 18. The Greenways project will create a system of interconnected paths and trails, linking cities across Cuyahoga County to other communities, parks and more. Public input is needed as the groups decide on possible locations for connector trails.

The goal of the Greenways project is to improve the overall health of the county and create new economic opportunities, the Cuyahoga Greenways group said on its website. To do that, the group wants to connect various cities from around the county using pedestrian and bicycle paths.

During a two-day span, Cuyahoga Greenways is hosting public meetings in Cleveland and on the west and east side. At the same time as the Beachwood meeting, Greenways will host a meeting in Fairview Park. The public will be asked to think about and comment on possible connector routes.
