Gun Brandished On Beachwood Streets? Not Quite: Blotter
A driver called police to say that a passenger in another car pulled out a gun and waved it at him. He was a little off in his description.

BEACHWOOD, OH — A driver on a street in Beachwood could have swore he saw a gun get pulled and brandished by a passenger in a passing vehicle. When police investigated, they located the car in question and the "weapon." It wasn't the gun promised.

OVI, July 28 — Police stopped a car on Chagrin Boulevard with fake license plates. The driver had a suspended license and was arrested.

Suspicious Phone Calls, July 28 — An elderly woman at the Fairmount Condos, 25805 Fairmount Blvd., received a strange phone call and contacted police.
Disorderly Conduct, July 28 — Police cited a man for disorderly conduct at Beachwood Place Mall, 26300 Cedar Rd. Officers also banned three juveniles from the premises for similar conduct.

Drug Paraphernalia, July 28 — Officers took custody of possible drug paraphernalia that was found on the premises of Shaarey Tikvah, 26811 Fairmount Blvd.
Possession of Marijuana, July 29 — A man was stopped for speeding on Chagrin Boulevard. Police found the man had an active arrest warrant through the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Office and took him into custody. Officers found marijuana in the man's possession and added a possession of marijuana charge.
Hospital Transport, July 29 — Emergency service personnel were called to the Beachwood Community Center for reports of a man that had fallen and hurt himself. Beachwood Fire took the man to Hillcrest Hospital for treatment.
Suspicion, July 29 — A driver on South Woodland reported a passenger in another car flashing a gun at him. Police located and stopped the suspect vehicle and found a clear-colored BB gun inside.
Warrant Served, July 30 — Police stopped a woman for jaywalking and found she had active arrest warrants with Shaker Heights Police, Cleveland Heights Police, and Willoughby Hills Police. The woman was arrested and turned over to Shaker Heights Police.
Shoplifting, July 30 — A juvenile was arrested for trying to shoplift a $35.70 pair of swim trunks from Dillard's, 26500 Cedar Rd.
Warrant Served, July 30 — An officer stopped a man for speeding in a 35 mph zone on Harvard Road. The driver had an active warrant through Cleveland Police and was taken into custody. The man was later turned over to Cleveland officers without incident.
OVI, July 30 — Police stopped a car for driving without lights at night. The driver had a blood alcohol level of .154.
