Impaired Drivers Cause Accidents In Beachwood: Police
A car crash near I-271 and in a hotel parking lot got two men arrested this weekend.

BEACHWOOD, OH — Two allegedly impaired drivers were arrested in Beachwood after they reportedly caused car accidents, police said. One accident happened near I-271 on Chagrin Boulevard, and the other happened in the parking lot of a local hotel.

Possession of Marijuana, August 24 — Police stopped a car on Shaker Boulevard at about 1:30 a.m. on Friday. Officers had spotted the vehicle speeding in a 35 mph zone and pulled it over. The driver had an open container of alcohol and marijuana in his car and was arrested.

Fraud, August 24 — Someone cashed a fraudulent check using a Beachwood company's bank account.
Possession of Marijuana, August 24 — Three men were seen acting suspiciously in the parking lot of Beachwood Place Mall, outside Saks Fifth Avenue. Police found marijuana in the men's possession and cited them. Two of the men had active warrants with Euclid Police and were arrested and turned over to that department.

Aggravated Vehicular Assault, August 25 — Police said a man caused a car accident on Chagrin Boulevard, near I-271, and the man may have been driving impaired. Toxicology reports are pending.
Shoplifting, August 26 — A man was arrested for shoplifting $60 of merchandise from Dillard's.
OVI, August 27 — A car was pulled over after it was seen driving so slowly on Chagrin Boulevard that it was impeding traffic. The driver had a suspended license and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, police said.
Reasonable Control, August 27 — An allegedly drunk driver hit a car in the parking lot of the Embassy Suites and was then arrested, police said.
