Israeli, Palestinian To Discuss Struggle At Beachwood Event
Representatives from both sides will talk about possible solutions at "Sharing Perspectives on the Israeli-Palestinian Relationship."

BEACHWOOD, OH — Two professionals from Roots-Shorashim-Judur, a network of Israelis and Palestinians working together, during a Jan. 22 event called “Sharing Perspectives on the Israeli-Palestinian Relationship."
The free event will feature a discussions between Rabbi Hanan Schlesinger, Roots Co-Founder, and Shadi Abu Awwad, Roots Palestinian Youth Director. The duo will meet at the 72nd Annual Meeting of the Community Relations Committee and Sidney Z. Vincent Memorial Lecture.
The event is free and open to the public. The discussion will begin at 7 a.m. at Mandel JCC Stonehill Auditorium, 26001 South Woodland Road, Beachwood.

“The Community Relations Committee’s work focuses on bridging cultural divides, fostering mutual respect, and building collaborative relationships with other ethnic, racial, civic, and religious groups right here in Cleveland,” said Brad Schlang, CRC Chair.
The CRC will also discuss how it builds relationships in diverse communities and mobilies the community.

Through their groundbreaking grassroots work, Roots-Shorashim-Judur is changing that reality by addressing the suspicion and fear that exists between these communities through education and engagement," Schlang added.
