John Carroll University Program Earns Global Recognition
The program was accepted by Chartered Financial Analyst University Recognition Program. Students can now earn scholarships for the program.

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, OH - John Carroll University's Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Finance program has earned recognition from a national financial analysis group. The Chartered Financial Analyst University Recognition Program, which helps students attain a Chartered Financial Analyst designation, said the university's program contains at least 70 percent of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge.
In essence, the university's BSBA program has been recognized as a gateway to receiving designation as a Chartered Financial Analyst. That designation is recognized globally as an investment credential.
“John Carroll students who graduate with a Finance degree from our Boler School are gaining a greater competitive edge in the job market thanks to our emphasis on mastery of the CFA candidate body of knowledge,” said Alan Miciak, dean of the Boler School of Business, in a statement. “The academic training and analytical skills JCU students develop will position them for success in pursuing the CFA Charter which is the gold standard for professional excellence in the financial services industry.”

The CFA Institute University Recognition Program, which has now admitted JCU, tells possible employers that students coming from the program experienced a curriculum that was closely tied to professional practice. The JCU program should be helpful to students seeking CFA examinations.
Additionally, John Carroll is eligible to receive a limited number of student scholarships for the CFA Program each year.
