Loaded Gun Found On Speeding Driver: Beachwood Police

BEACHWOOD, OH — At about 8:30 p.m. on Friday, police stopped a car for speeding. The vehicle was seen driving 42 mph in a 25 mph zone near Beachwood Place Mall, according to police reports. When talking with police, the driver didn't tell officers he had a concealed and loaded weapon in his possession.
The driver was arrested and is being charged with speeding and improperly handling a firearm in a vehicle, police said. Here are the other notable police incidents from the past weekend.
License Suspension, September 7 — A woman was arrested for driving with a suspended license on Friday evening.

Trespassing, September 7 — A homeowner called police after his ex-wife got into his garage.
Disturbance, September 8 — Hotel Indigo asked police to calm down a ruckus coming from one of their guests' rooms. Officers arrested one of the women involved on an active warrant and the situation calmed down.

Credit Card Fraud, September 8 — Staff at a Beachwood Place Mall store reported that two people used a fraudulent credit card to purchase merchandise to the tune $2,466. After investigating, officers arrested an adult man and an adult woman.
OVI, September 9 — Police tracked down and arrested a woman for drunken driving on early Sunday morning. The woman reportedly crashed her car into construction equipment on Richmond Road, near the Maltz Museum. The woman then drove off, leaving the scene. Officers were able to track the woman down and arrest her.
