Maltz Museum Announces Martin Luther King Jr. Day Programs

The museum will open its doors to the public for an all-day celebration of Martin Luther King Jr.

BEACHWOOD, OH — The Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage will hold a free, all-day event honoring the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. on Jan. 20. The celebration of King will include a sermon by Cleveland's own Rev. Dr. Otis Moss Jr., a documentary film screening and musical performances.

The event is open to the public. Rev. Dr. Otis Moss Jr., friend and colleague of King Jr., will deliver his sermon at 10:30 a.m. The Evelyn Wright Quartet will perform at 1 p.m. and the documentary film "Soundtrack for a Revolution: Freedom Songs from the Civil Rights Era" will be screened at 3 p.m.

Guests will also be able to tour the museum's galleries and take part in family-friendly hands-on crafts and activities, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
