Maltz Museum Offering Free Admission On Holidays
The museum will have activities on Chanukah, Christmas, and Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

BEACHWOOD, OH — The Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage will hold several free events during the holiday season. Celebrations range from a candle lighting on Chanukah to making cards on Christmas to live music on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
While the events are free, registration is encouraged for most of the events. The museum is located at 2929 Richmond Road, Beachwood.
The first free event will happen December 22 when the museum hosts the Chanukah Candle Lighting celebration. The festivities starts at 1:30 p.m. The celebration is open to people of all faiths, with storytellers explaining the background of Chanukah. There will then be traditional songs, live music, holiday crafts and kosher cookies. Guests can also explore the museum. PJ Library will be at the celebration, offering free book sign-ups and bonus activities.

On Christmas Day, museum guests are encouraged to bring a canned good to donate or to pay whatever they can for admission. The museum will also give attendees the chance to craft greeting cards for sick children at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital. Canned goods will be donated to the Kosher Food Bank and the Greater Cleveland Food Bank. Festivities run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
On January 20, the Maltz Museum will celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. day. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. the museum will free and open to the public. Hands-on crafts and activities for the whole family will be available for guests. Additional activities will be announced closer to the event.
