Man Flees From Police, Resists Arrest: Beachwood Police Blotter

The man received stolen merchandise from Giant Eagle and then fled from Beachwood police. The man was apprehended and resisted arrest.

BEACHWOOD, OH - This week's incidents include someone stealing a man's walking cane, $300 worth of stolen Giant Eagle merchandise, and a man fleeing from police and resisting arrest.

Theft, Fairmount Boulevard - Someone stole a man's paisley walking cane from his car on Oct. 16. The theft occurred between 8 p.m. and 2 p.m. and the man said his car was unlocked.

Identity Theft, Selkirk Road - A Beachwood resident reported that someone used his identity to obtain a credit card. The man did not authorize the use of his identity.

Theft, Chagrin Boulevard - The Giant Eagle, 24601 Chagrin Blvd., reported a woman had stolen more than $300 worth of merchandise from the store on Oct. 17.

Receiving Stolen Property, Chagrin Boulevard - Officers struggled to arrest a man for receiving stolen good from the Chagrin Boulevard Giant Eagle on Oct. 19. When officers located the man he fled on foot and then resisted arrest.
