Man Wanted On Child Support Violation Arrested In Beachwood

Police also busted two people for possession of marijuana over the weekend.

BEACHWOOD, OH — It was a busy weekend for Beachwood police. Officers busted two people for possession of marijuana and arrested a man wanted for a child support violation. Read more about those incidents and others below.

Warrant Served, Jan. 26 — Police went to the Lake County Sheriff's Office and took custody of a man wanted in Shaker Heights Municipal Court.

Theft from Yard, Jan. 26 — Someone stole $1,000 of metal from the Pearlwind dumpster at 24800 Chagrin Blvd.

Possession of Marijuana, Jan. 26 — A woman was arrested for shoplifting from Sephora at Beachwood Place Mall, 26300 Cedar Rd. The woman was also found to be in possession of marijuana.

OVI, Jan. 26 — A woman was stopped on Chagrin Boulevard, near I-271 North for speeding. The woman was found to be intoxicated, blowing a .092 and was arrested.

Possession of Marijuana, Jan. 26 — Police stopped a car near Porsche of Beachwood because the registered owner was driving with a suspended license. The driver was found in possession of marijuana, was arrested and the car towed.

Theft of Identity, Jan. 27 — Someone stole a Geo Zeiger Drive resident's identity, police said.

License Suspension, Jan. 27 — Police stopped a car on Chagrin Boulevard. The driver was wanted in Lucas County for a child support warrant and was arrested. The man was also issued citations for driving with a suspended license and a tail lights violation.

Warrant Served, Jan. 28 — A man was arrested while he shopped at Beachwood Place Mall on Sunday. Police said the man had an active warrant for his arrest with the Bay Village Police Department.

Shoplifting, Jan. 28 — Police arrested a man for shoplifting $360 of merchandise from Nordstrom at Beachwood Place Mall.
