Meet Beachwood's Newest City Councilperson
Voted onto council by a unanimous 6-0 vote, the new councilperson once oversaw a $30 million private equity firm.

BEACHWOOD, OH — Beachwood has a new city councilperson. June Taylor was unanimously voted onto the council this week. She fills the seat left by Mayor Martin Horwitz.
The city said that 17 residents applied for the seat Horwitz left vacant. City Council interviewed all applicants before determining Taylor would be their selection.
“It is an honor and privilege to have been chosen to join the Beachwood City Council,” said Taylor in a statement. “It is my hope to share my skills and talents with the council which will, ultimately continue to contribute to the wonderful success of Beachwood.”

Taylor has been a Beachwood resident for two decades. She and her husband have a child who is a freshman at Beachwood High School.
Taylor is currently the President of MAC Installation & Consulting. The company is 14-years-old and provides telecommunications and tech services for financial and healthcare industries. Prior to working with MAC, Taylor was the president of MWV Pinnacle Advisory Services from 2007 to 2015. MWV is a $30 million private equity advisory firm in Cleveland.

She received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Management degrees from Northwestern University. She spent three decades working in financial services, marketing, engineering, business management and strategic planning.
From a civic standpoint, Taylor is currently a trustee of the Cleveland State University and Chairman of the Ohio Casino Control Commission. She is a past chair of the Ohio Minority Business Advisory Council, a past member of the Board of Directors of The Montefiore Home and a Member of the Beachwood PTO.
