Multiple Thefts At Beachwood Fitness Location

BEACHWOOD, OH - Valentine's Day was not so sweet for Beachwood Police. Officers had to make regular and frequent stops to Lifetime Fitness for multiple theft reports. Officers also investigated a shoplifter who snatched some goods from the Pink Store at Beachwood Place Mall.

Driving Under Suspension, Feb. 13 - Police pulled a woman over at the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage, 2929 Richmond Rd., for swerving between lanes. The woman had a suspended license and an active warrant for her arrest.

Fraud, Feb. 13 - A Beachwood resident came to the police department and reported that someone filed a tax return in his name.

Theft from Building, Feb. 14 - A Lifetime Fitness customer reported that his cell phone and car key were stolen from his locked locker.

Theft from Building, Feb. 14 - Lifetime Fitness was the site of a second theft on Valentine's Day. Another customer said his wallet and cell phone were stolen from a locker. The man's credit cards were later used in Mayfield Heights.

Shoplifting, Feb. 14 - Maybe desperate for a Valentine's Day gift, a man stashed several items from Pink at Beachwood Place Mall, 26300 Cedar Rd. He then ran out of the store.

Suspicion, Feb. 15 - A resident came on station to report what they believed was fraudulent activity with their checking account. The transaction were later revealed to be legitimate.
