Narcotics User Passes Out In Front Of Beachwood Mall
Police found the woman asleep in her car, a needle stuck in her hand.

BEACHWOOD, OH — Northeast Ohio's narcotics epidemic has spread its talons into affluent and non-affluent communities alike. This past weekend Beachwood Police had to deal with one of the results of those talons.
A woman was found passed out in her car, which was parked in front of Beachwood Place Mall. Read on for more information on that incident and others from the weekend. Marijuana Possession, Oct. 13 — Police stopped a man for driving with a suspended license on Cedar Road. The man was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Theft, Oct. 13 — Money was taken from a man's wallet while he was at Lifetime Fitness, 3850 Richmond Rd.
License Suspension, Oct. 13 — Police stopped a man on Orange Place for driving with expired license plates. The driver also had a suspended license. The man was arrested and taken to Beachwood Police Department.

Theft from Building, Oct. 13 — While working out at Lifetime Fitness, a man had $120 taken from his wallet. The wallet was being kept in a locker.
Drug Abuse, Oct. 13 — Police arrested a woman that was passed out in her car, which was parked at Beachwood Place Mall, 26300 Cedar Rd. The woman had a needle stuck in her hand. She was also in possession of several drugs, police say.
Shoplifting, Oct. 13 — A juvenile was arrested for shoplifting from Dillard's, 26500 Cedar Rd. They attempted to steal $39.50 of merchandise.
Theft from Building, Oct. 14 — Officers arrested a woman involved in a theft investigation at the Hotel Indigo. The woman was wanted by Walton Hills Police.
Warrant Served, Oct. 14 — A car was stopped on Geo Zeiger Drive because the driver was seen using his cellphone while driving. When police approached the car, they could smell burnt marijuana. The passenger in the car was identified and police found he had an active warrant for his arrest in Medina. The passenger was arrested. The driver was cited for his cellphone use.
Shoplifting, Oct. 14 — Employees at Aldo Accessories, at Beachwood Place Mall, reported a theft from their store. A woman snatched two necklaces and fled the store without paying. The woman had two friends, both female, with her. The necklaces were worth about $63. The suspect fled prior to police arriving.
