New Year, Same Crimes In Beachwood

Police arrested six juveniles for shoplifting from Beachwood Place Mall, while also helping break up fights at local gas stations.

BEACHWOOD, OH — The end of 2017 came with some familiar crimes in Beachwood. Police busted some underage shoplifters that were trying to make off with hundreds of dollars in stolen merchandise, while also mediating a gas station dispute and other incidents.

Theft from Building, Dec. 29 — A patient at Beachwood Pointe Rehab reported that their wallet had been stolen.

Suspicion, Dec. 29 — A woman reported that items were stolen from her and her mother while they on Saratoga Court.

Shoplifting, Dec. 29 — Police arrested two under 18-years-old suspects for stealing $574.99 of merchandise from Dillard's.

Shoplifting, Dec. 29 — Four under 18-years-old suspects were arrested for stealing $350 of merchandise from Dillard's and $36 of merchandise from H&M.

Disturbance, Dec. 30 — Two people got into a dispute at the BP Gas Station at 25705 Chagrin Boulevard. Officers were called to the scene and helped calm the situation down.

Theft from Building, Dec. 31 — A guest at the Fairfield Inn, 3750 Orange Pl., reported that someone stole a cosmetics bag that had been left accidentally in their room after checkout.
