Overdosing Woman Calls Beachwood Police For Help
Before officers could arrive at her location, the woman tried to drive away. She was tracked down and taken to a hospital.

BEACHWOOD, OH - Police in Beachwood got a strange call on May 1. A woman called officers looking for help because she believed she was overdosing. But the woman refused to stay at the scene. Read on for more information on that incident and others from this past week.
OVI, May 1 - Police received a call from a woman who said she was overdosing on narcotics. She said she was Lifetime Fitness, 3850 Richmond Rd. When police arrived at the scene, they found the woman was attempting to drive away. The woman was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence and possession of drug abuse instruments. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Damaged Property, May 1 - A moving truck hit a lighted sign at the Hamptons Building 1, 27020 Cedar Rd.

Suspicion, May 1 - Suspicious mail was sent to the Malrite Company, 3333 Richmond Rd.
Shoplifting, May 2 - Police arrested an adult woman for shoplifting from H&M at Beachwood Place Mall, 26300 Cedar Rd. The woman was attempting to steal $23.97 worth of merchandise.

Red Light Violation, May 2 - An adult male was stopped for a red light violation. Police found the man had a suspended license and arrested him.
Shoplifting, May 3 - Police stopped an adult woman from stealing nearly $233 of merchandise from Dillard's, 26500 Cedar Rd. The merchandise was recovered and returned to the store and the woman was arrested.
Suspicion, May 3 - Reports of a shoplifting incident at Pink, 26300 Cedar Rd., brought police to the store. After speaking with the suspects, it became clear that no theft had actually occurred. However, one of the subjects did have marijuana on their person and was cited for possession.
Grand Theft Vehicle, May 3 - A Haliburton Road resident reports that his car was stolen between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. He left the car unlocked with the keys resting on the floorboards of the vehicle.
Shoplifting, May 3 - A woman was arrested for shopping $209 worth of merchandise from Nordstrom.
Menacing, May 3 - Two men walked into GNC, 26300 Cedar Rd., and stole merchandise. As they were leaving, one of the men made a violent gesture at one of the store employees.
Drug Abuse, May 4 - An adult woman was cited for possession of suspected Xanax and marijuana. The woman was released at the scene.
