Police Investigating Break-Ins At Beachwood Companies

Businesses on Chagrin Boulevard and Commerce Parkway both suffered damaged doors on Friday.

BEACHWOOD, OH — Police are investigating a pair of break-ins that occurred Friday night. Someone damaged the front doors of business on Chagrin Boulevard and Commerce Parkway. There's no indication that the suspect was able to steal anything.

The break-in attempts occurred at Gorden Dental and Ashton Technology. The location of those two businesses is mapped out below. It's unclear if the two break-ins are related.

Theft from Building, Jan. 5 — Two women had their cell phones stolen while they were at the Residence Inn, 3628 Park East.

Grand Theft Vehicle, Jan. 5 — A vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of the Metro Health Medical Center.

Receiving Stolen Property, Jan. 5 — Police arrested a woman at Beachwood Place Mall, 26300 Cedar Rd., for shoplifting and receiving stolen property. Police recovered nearly $600 of merchandise from the woman.

Shoplifting, Jan. 5 — A man was arrested for shoplifting $22 of merchandise from Dillard's.

Breaking and Entering, Jan. 5 — Someone attempted to get into Gordon Dental Care on Friday, police say. The business' front door was damaged during the incident but nothing appears to have been taken. Another break-in attempt was reported by Ashton Technology Solutions on Friday, police say.

Disorderly Conduct, Jan. 7 — A man was arrested for getting into a fight at the Fairfield Inn, 3750 Orange Pl.

Suspended License, Jan. 7 — Police arrested a driver outside Dillard's on Sunday after a car accident. One of the drivers had a suspended license and was arrested.

Hit-Skip, Jan. 7 — The driver of an Oldsmobile Alero hit a parked Kia in the parking lot of Beachwood Place Mall on Sunday. The Kia was unoccupied at the time. The driver of the Oldsmobile took off without leaving any information. Police stopped the car a short while later and the driver was arrested.
