Security Vehicles Added To Jewish Federation Of Cleveland Fleet
Two donated pickup trucks will be converted into security vehicles to bolster the federation's fleet.
Two security vehicles will be added to the Jewish Federation of Cleveland's fleet of mobile patrol units, the organization announced. The vehicles, both pickup trucks, were donated to the organization.
In a statement, the Jewish Federation of Cleveland said the security vehicles are 2018 Nissan Frontiers. Both vehicles were donated by Matt Greenberg, of Bedford Nissan.
“These vehicles will serve as a visible presence that our community’s institutions are safe,” Greenberg said. “I am proud to be a member of the Cleveland Jewish community and I am pleased to make this donation.”

The Federation's security vehicles are deployed seven days a week and survey Cleveland's Jewish neighborhoods and institutions. The vehicles can be requested by synagogues, schools and Federation beneficiary agencies.
The security fleet is operated by JFC Security and each vehicle is outfitted with an LED light bar, siren and direct communication to local police dispatch centers. The security officers all have backgrounds in local law enforcement or experience with the FBI.

Since the Tree of Life attack in Pittsburgh in late 2018, the Federation has deployed armed guards at early childhood and preschool institutions, Jewish educational institutions and synagogues. The Federation said it increased its security spending by $800,000 in the wake of the attack.
"We are incredibly grateful to Matt and the Bedford Nissan team for their generous donation,” said Barnett Bookatz, chair of the Federation’s Security Committee. “Our community is truly a special place, and these vehicles are just one way that we can continue to ensure the safety of all of Jewish Cleveland.”
