Shoplifter Busted At Beachwood Grocery Store

BEACHWOOD, OH — Police busted a man for trying to steal $27 worth of liquor this week. They also had a one dollar bill mailed to the department, which is — well, strange.

Disturbance, March 5 — Someone at the Homewood Suites called 911 and then hung up before speaking to dispatch. Police were sent to the building and spoke with a woman about the situation. It appears no arrests were made.

Suspicious, March 5 — An envelope with a one dollar bill was mailed to the Beachwood Police Department by an unidentified person. Which is, odd.
Unsafe Vehicle, March 5 — Police spotted an unsafe car on Cedar Road, near Richmond Road, and pulled it over. The driver had a suspended license and was issued a citation.

Disturbance, March 6 — Two men were escorted out of the Winking Lizard after they started a ruckus in the restaurant.
Identity Theft, March 6 — A Brentwood Road resident said someone got access their bank account and used their personal information in an attempt to steal their identity.
Found Property, March 6 — A wallet was found at Saks Fifth Avenue, with its contents inside, and was turned over to police.
Shoplifting, March 7 — Officers arrested a man for stealing two bottles of liquor from Giant Eagle. The stolen merchandise was worth a combined $27.98.
License Suspension, March 8 — Police pulled a car over on Cedar Road after they saw it commit multiple lane violations. The driver had a suspended license and three active warrants for his arrest.
OVI, March 8 — A woman was arrested for driving impaired after she was involved in a three car accident on Richmond Road.
