Shoplifter Caught With More Than $2,000 In Merch In Beachwood

The suspect was arrested after she reportedly stole from both Nordstrom and Dilliard's.

BEACHWOOD, OH — Police busted a woman trying to shoplift more than $2,000 of merchandise from Nordstrom and Dilliard's at Beachwood Place Mall. The woman was arrested on the premises on Thursday. Read more about other incidents from this week below.

Suspicion, Jan. 29 — A customer at Bob Evans cursed at the manager and was told to leave. The patron left before police arrived at the restaurant.

Industrial Accident, Jan. 29 — A vehicle was damaged after it drove over a hole on Richmond Road. The hole was created by Dominion Gas Company.

Public Property Damage, Jan. 29 — A fire hydrant on Village Lane was damaged in a car accident.

Shoplifting, Jan. 30 — Police arrested a woman for stealing from Dilliard's, 26500 Cedar Rd. The woman shoplifted $128 of merchandise.

Suspicious Vehicle, Jan. 30 — Officers investigated a suspicious vehicle at Beachwood City Park, 24625 Shaker Blvd. As a result of the investigation, a man was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Disturbance, Jan. 30 — An adult woman was arrested and banned from Beachwood Place Mall for a year after she made a ruckus on Tuesday.

Unauthorized Use of Property, Jan. 31 — A Longmeadow Lane woman received an email from a man that said there was something wrong with the woman's computer. The woman allowed the man to access her computer, possibly obtaining her personal information.

Suspicion, Jan. 31 — A woman contacted Beachwood Police after her son's father refused to follow court ordered visitation orders.

Theft from Building, Feb. 1 — Officers were called to the Montefiore Home for a theft report. A resident said a phone and some perfume was stolen from her room. The two items are valued at $150, combined.

Shoplifting, Feb. 1 — A woman was arrested for shoplifting from Nordstrom and Dilliard's. The woman was caught shoplifting merchandise worth $2,294.
