Shoplifter Steals $870 Of Merchandise From Beachwood Store

BEACHWOOD, OH — Police had a busy weekend in Beachwood. A shoplifter attempted to steal more than $850 of merchandise from a local store, a blood drive got a little creepy and that was only the beginning.

License Suspension, Oct. 20 — Police stopped a car on Richmond Road, near S. Woodland. The driver had a suspended license and an active traffic warrant from Parma Police. The driver was arrested and required to post bond.

Shoplifting, Oct. 20 — A man was arrested for shoplifting a pair of jeans from Dillard's, 26500 Cedar Rd. The jeans are worth $54.25.

Suspicion, Oct. 20 — A resident of RH Myers Apartments, 27200 Cedar Rd., reported her wallet missing.

Disturbance, Oct. 20 — Police were called to Giant Eagle, 24601 Chagrin Blvd., for reports of a man causing a disturbance at the grocery store. The man was banned from the store.

Suspicion, Oct. 20 — During a blood drive at the Beachwood Community Center, 25225 Fairmount Blvd., participants complained about a man hanging out in the women's bathroom.

Shoplifting, Oct. 21 — Two women stole more than $850 of merchandise from Dillard's. One of the women also had an active traffic warrant.

Warrant Served, Oct. 22 — Westlake Police arrested a man on an active warrant in Shaker Heights Municipal Court. Beachwood Police picked the man up.
