Shoplifters Haunt Beachwood Mall
Police have dealt with a lot of shoplifters at Beachwood Place this week.

BEACHWOOD, OH — Shoplifters have haunted Beachwood Place Mall over the past week. Police have handled at least five incidents of thieves targeting stores at or attached to the shopping center.

Shoplifting, Sept. 18 — Police were called to Beachwood Place Mall, 26300 Cedar Rd., for reports of a shoplifting incident. Three juvenile girls were implicated in the incident but no charges have been filed.

Lost Property, Sept. 18 — A woman reported that her cell phone was either lost or stolen while she was at Beachwood Place Mall.
Shoplifting, Sept. 18 — Loss prevention officers at Dillard's, 26500 Cedar Rd., stopped a woman for shoplifting on Monday. The woman was attempting to get away with about $60 of merchandise. Police arrived and arrested the woman.

Shoplifting, Sept. 18 — Police arrested a woman for stealing $642.18 of merchandise from Dillard's.
Disturbance, Sept. 18 — Two adults at the Beachwood Adult Activities Center got into a scuffle and one person bit another person's arm.
Disturbance, Sept. 18 — Two employees at the Montefiore Home, 27080 Cedar Rd., got into a verbal fight. The spat escalated when one employee threatened the other. Both staffers were sent home without further incident, police say.
License Suspension, Sept. 19 — A car with fake license plates was stopped near St. Mark's Presbyterian Church, 22111 Chagrin Blvd. The driver had a suspended license and was arrested.
Credit Card Theft, Sept. 19 — A resident reported that her purse had gone missing and may have been stolen. One of the resident's credit cards was nearly used at Saks Fifth Avenue at Beachwood Place Mall, and several other locations. Had the purchase at Saks gone through, it would have cost the woman $900.
Shoplifting, Sept. 20 — Police arrested a juvenile male for shoplifting $90 of merchandise from Nordstrom.
Shoplifting, Sept. 21 — Officers arrested a woman for shoplifting $66 of merchandise from Sephora at Beachwood Place Mall.
Shoplifting, Sept. 21 — A woman was arrested for shoplifting $370 of merchandise from Dillard's.
